Keeping in mind that family time is fun time, I've come up with a lot of great events all over the city of Atlanta that have been chosen because they are: A) fun and B) FREE! (All the events have a website at the end where you can click to get more information.)

Baseball: Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago Cubs

Our Braves continue their wining streak with all us in Atlanta hoping they’ll make us proud. What could be more American than a night out on the baseball field, hot dogs and Cracker Jacks? I can’t really think of anything more perfect. Go cheer on our Braves!

C'mon and share!
Hello everyone!
Happy Thursday.
It's a great day outside. The weather's looking bright and sunny.
Perfect for a Margarita! My personal favorites are the mango and lime flavors, but my friends love the strawberry one, too. And being in Georgia, why not try the peach? Guava and banana are two fruity, sun-perfect flavors. You can even order them without alcohol, as I do. They're abolutely delightful fruity sorbet drinks.
How can you make up your mind? Easy. Open the menu and take your first pick.
Trust your instincts, you can't go wrong!
By the way, you can e-mail me your new flavor proposals and I'll gladly get hooked up with my friends at Frontera to see if we can test out some of those.
A perfect margarita deserves and equally perfect companion. So, why not grab some
nachos while you're at it? I do. May I recommend the chicken and cheese, completewith a heaping serving of lettuce and tomatoes (help reduce the guilty pleasure!),as well as cheese and sour cream. Yum!
I've got my afternoon planned out already. I'm heading to Frontera... Hope to see you there!
Editor's Note: I realize that my tomato joke wasn't the funniest in the world, so I'd likefor you to contribute. Help me out here! Know a good joke you want to share witheveryone else? Drop me a line via e-mail and I'll happily post that, just so long as it's G-rated... remember, we've got kiddies on the website, too.

Frontera Dude on... Tomatoes.

I'm happy because the weekend nears and with that, comes excitement. Did you know that Wednesday's are called "hump days", because, as the camel's back hump, they're considered the middle day of the week. I bet you knew that already. If you didn't well, then that's a little wisdom I picked up along the way.
At Frontera, there's nothing I love more than to arrive and get those steaming hot chips and my salsas... aren't they awesome? You're there for a minute and you've already got hot food on the table. How's THAT for impressive? I never cease to be amazed by it.
Speaking of salsa, that's all about chile and tomatoes.
And speaking of tomatoes, here's a little tomato joke I dug up. Hope you like it.
A small boy was looking at the red ripe tomatoes growing in the farmer's garden. "I'll give you my two pennies for that tomato," said the boy pointing to a beautiful, large, ripe fruit hanging on the vine.
"No," said the farmer, "I get a dime for a tomato like that one."
The small boy pointed to a smaller green one, "Will you take two pennies for that one?"
"Yes," replied the farmer, "I'll give you that one for two cents."
"OK," said the lad, sealing the deal by putting the coins in the farmer's hand, "I'll pick it up in about a week."
LOL... good, huh? Kids, don't try that at home.
It's a silly little quip to get a smile on your face and hopefully, make your day a little happier.
Wish you have a great day!

Have a Happy Week!
I hope you all had a fun Father's Day. I know me and my dad, we had a blast.
Had a big ol' plate of beef fajitas to get in the mood yesterday. Don't forget to use your free dessert coupon for dad... that's good 'til the end of the month. Who doesn't love sweet? And free? I'm there!
I'm quite happy because this is the first week of the blog. I want to thank each and every one of you that have visited. We still need more of you to come visit! Tell your friends, neighbors, family and everyone you know that Frontera Dude's blog has hit the net.
I welcome your questions and suggestions, ideas and recommendations. Let's call this Frontera Fanmail, if you please. The most intriguing questions will be posted here, along with their answers, for everyone to be in the "know".
The link to my e-mail address is to the left, so I would very much appreciate your feedback and how to make this blog, your space and mine, better. What do you want to see here? What would make it fun? What would make it interesting? You tell me and I will do my very best to keep everyone as happy as possible.
So, please take a minute or two and write me.
Nothing makes me happier than to get mail from my friends.
I'm off for lunch, soooo hungry. (Nachos Supremos, anyone?)
See you soon!
Frontera Dude
PS: There will be more new stuff here all the time. I'm just starting this up, there's so much to do. Surprises will pop up here from time to time and with no warning whatsoever, so keep posted to the blog!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...
Oh, I'm on? Excuse my singing. Not that great.

Did you know that Frontera's giving away 4 tickets to the traditional 4th of July baseball game? Yup, our Atlanta Braves are playing the Chicago Cubs. Excitement, friends, fireworks. Can it get any better?
It's so easy to win, too. You can get more details at Frontera to get a chance to be at Turner Field on that fantastic day.
Score a homerun hit today and join in the 4th of July fun!
(I can't wait for the fireworks display, that's always worth the trip on its own.)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I've batting practice.
Later!
